Trade websites
What a website has to do before search work is worth paying for.

A trade website has one job, and it is not to look impressive. It exists to answer the question somebody typed into Google and then make it obvious how to get in touch. Most trade sites were built as brochures instead, which is why they can look perfectly smart and produce nothing.
These pages cover when a website is worth building at all, what it has to contain before search work is worth paying for, and how to tell whether the site you already own is the problem or is being blamed for one.
