Not a trade,
but the same problem.
What this work actually needs is a website, a local area and customers who search. That covers a good deal more than the name on the door suggests, so anything outside the trades lives here rather than being bolted onto the homepage.
Why the domain says trades.
Because specificity converts and vagueness does not. A roofer reading a page about “local businesses” does not recognise themselves in it, and a page that tries to speak to roofers, dentists and accountants at once ends up speaking to none of them.
But the underlying problem does not care what trade you are in. It needs a website, a local area, and customers who search. What changes between sectors is the buying journey: how long the decision takes, how many people are involved, whether the work repeats, and what a customer needs to see before they trust you with it. That is what these pages are for.
What transfers, and what does not.
The mechanics transfer almost entirely. Profile configuration, page structure, coverage, reviews and measurement work the same way for an estate agency as for a plumber. What does not transfer is the content, because the questions are completely different and writing one set for all of them is exactly the templating problem we spend our time undoing.
Something else?
If you run a service business with a local area and customers who search for what you do, the approach transfers. Tell us what you do and we will say honestly whether it applies, including if it does not.
